The early days of the Dvorak Technique at the National Hurricane Center

The application of satellite derived location and intensity estimates using the Dvorak Technique at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in the 1970s and 1980s will be discussed. Examples of successes as well as limitations will be shown by one of the first Dvorak analysts at NHC.
