Enterprise has designed, developed and installed a Radar Data Acquisition (RDA) processor for the Evansville, Indiana Doppler Radar. An application to decode NEXRAD messages, control the radar, and deliver the data was developed. The design and implementation of this application posed some unique challenges including the processing several message protocols in real-time. The data flow, timing and behavior of this application is examined. A summary of the lessons learned during the installation is included
