P3R.6 The Hail Forecasting Relative to the Product Mesocyclone of WSR-98D

14 times mesocyclone products of JINAN Radar WSR-98D in 2002 as well as several times of BINZHOU Radar CINRAD/SC were analyzed. The mesocyclone within supercell storm and minisupercell storm remained a long period, and associated with hail, damage wind severe weather. The others appeared in a short interval, and were not always associated with severe weather depending on the strength of the mesocyclone as well as weather situation and the other products of radar. The storm that IRS°Ý7.3 will produce hail, that IRS°Ü4.8 the probability of hail spawn will be very low. The storm which depth of its mesocyclone greater than 2.5km will produce hail, which depth of its mesocyclone less than 2.0km the probability of hail spawn will be very low.
