Results from a dynamic noise determination out of doppler spectra are presented. Noise power is extracted from the data collected during operational mode. The traditional approach of noise sampling is realized by a periodic interrupt of data acquisition to collect noise samples at high elevations. In contrary to this static procedure dynamic noise sampling does not interrupt the operational scans. Dynamic noise sampling implies increased operational system availability and accounts for noise power variations during data collection.
