Title: Trends in calibration within the polarimetric WSR-88D Network.

Abstract: The polarimetric NEXRAD WSR-88D radar network is steadily demonstrating the potential benefits predicted by the scientific community. Baron Services played an integral part in the process of upgrading and calibrating the 171 National Weather Service (NWS) WSR-88Ds owned and operated by NWS, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Department of Defense (DoD) to a common standard. Empirical data collected from the upgraded radars will be used to illustrate the stability and repeatability of the various real time calibrations performed in addition to studying the trends in the calibration results due to seasonal changes.
