A quick and simplified,CINRAD scanning strategy was developed to improve the original one on detection of vertical structure of near-radar storms by simply combining two elevation angles from wind profiler with original VCPs of CINRAD, which was able to directly measure vertical-velocity made by a vertical-beam, calculate the variation of vertical-velocity at storm scale, and show the distribution. Based on the scanning strategy, VAD algorithm could be used to obtain the perturbation velocity within the storm.
