His research interests include lightning and storm electrification, ice/snow microphysics, and smoke/wildfire observations with weather radars. Dr. Schvartzman is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Oklahoma School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is the recipient of the 2019 American Meteorological Society’s Spiros G. Geotis Student Prize, for his article titled “Design of Practical Pulse Compression Waveforms for Polarimetric Phased Array Radar”. He is a Senior Member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and a Member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
