Ever since the “Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017,” skywatchers have been looking forward to the next one visible from the United States. Most of us have focused on the total eclipse on April 8, 2024, whose path will pass from central Texas through the Midwest and then to New England. But well before that — in just four months — will come a dramatic annular (ring) solar eclipse on October 14, 2023, with a path from Oregon to Texas.
If your market is a city within either path, you’ll want to prepare your viewers for how best to experience the sky’s most dramatic sight. And even if you’re outside the narrow central path, everywhere in the contiguous U.S. will experience a partial solar eclipse for both of these events. This presentation will give you the resources you’ll need for the where, when, how, and WOW of these coast-to-coast celestial spectacles.
