The December 10-11, 2021 Tornado Outbreak

Tornadoes can happen anytime of year and the December 10-11, 2021 tornado outbreak is proof of that! It was the 5th largest outbreak on record in Middle TN. We had 16 tornadoes in Middle TN and 6 others we covered in Southern KY. We will show how we prepared the viewers ahead of the outbreak, the coverage we did during the outbreak, and how we followed up after the outbreak with coverage using our social media posts. We will also show you what we did to help support the communities hit the hardest. For the record, 2021 had the most tornadoes Middle TN has ever seen in year with 46 total. We also had more tornadoes in December that year than all the other Decembers combined since records were kept.
