This presentation celebrates the extraordinary life of June Bacon-Bercey, a pioneering meteorologist who shattered barriers as a Black American woman. From her early fascination with the atmosphere to her groundbreaking contributions to science, June’s story exemplifies resilience and determination. As a broadcast meteorologist, she used her platform to educate and empower, mentoring countless women and youth in STEM. Even as a single parent, June instilled her values in her daughter, forging a legacy of inspiration and service.
June’s daughter, Dail St. Claire will reflect on her mother’s legacy by sharing her four core pillars: Purpose, Profession, Service, and Family.
