The National Weather Service (NWS) is exploring multiple avenues to improve warnings and communication, and is exploring how to proceed in collaboration with agency partners as well as broadcast media. One such example involves the Forecasting a Continuum of Environmental Threats (FACETs) concept that offers a framework for modern, flexible, and continuous hazard information. In order to help achieve such a concept, conversations must be had to help pave the way for more equitable services, particularly with the continued integration of the social and behavioral sciences in research, policy, and operations. This panel would highlight these efforts and allow a space for audience discussion around the opportunity and challenges that will come with these advancements
