Information about meteorology--precipitation, wind direction and speed, sunshine and solar radiation, temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, and visibility--and hydrology-water level, flow, and temperature--is small in quantity per unit but are scattered over a vast area. Internet network is a suitable tool for collecting them and processing them into meaningful information. We developed a Field information server "FIS" which acquires meteorological and /or hydrological data in the field with arbitrary combination of above mentioned parameter sensors and put the information to a network. And also we developed software "Fis.View" which runs on a PC and collects information plural FIS on networks. It has capability of showing integrated data from number of FIS. This paper describes their functions and some applications and also potential capabilities.
