An Exhibitation on Climate Change by the National Academy of Sciences
Room 615/616
The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has produced a museum exhibition on climate change that authoritatively and engagingly illustrates the current state of the science. The hands-on exhibition will open at the NAS' new museum in downtown Washington, DC in April 2004. The exhibition utilizes innovative visualization, display, and decision-support technologies to provide visitors unique access to data and knowledge associated with climate change and climate prediction. The exhibition has been subjected to extensive independent evaluation and has been revised accordingly. A set of pre-, during-, and post-visit educational materials have been produced to facilitate visits by school groups. The exhibition is designed to travel to science museums across the country following its residence of a few years in the NAS museum.
