Surface temperature and precipitation data by state are available from 1895 to 2001. An examination is made of annual temperature and precipitation averages for each state which contributes flow to the Missouri River. The states are MT, WY, CO, ND, SD, NE, KS, IA and MO. Data trends for the period of record are examined. Also, streamflow data for the Missouri River at Hermann, MO from 1929 is examined for trends and possible changes in long term streamflow. Finally, streamflow, temperature and precipitation for the entire Missouri Basin above Hermann, MO are intercompared for relative statistical significance. Potential results include identifying climate change impacts on temperature, precipitaion and streamflow in the Missouri Basin.
