New technologies utilizing WSR-88D (NEXRAD) radar data sets have resulted in a new series of commercially available products. These products include reliable forecasts of radar three to six hours into the future, enhanced storm-tracking and identification, real-time NEXRAD information, and a spatially consistent, accurate, nationwide rainfall composite product. The products themselves are described, the technologies behind the products are explained, and some relevant applications are explored.
