User Interaction with the GOES-R Series of Weather Satellites

August J. Ryberg Jr., NOAA/NESDIS/Mitretek Systems, Greenbelt, MD; and P. Nguyen and L. Shipley

The GOES-R series Satellites have advanced instruments for the collection of images, soundings, space weather data as well as transponders to support other data payloads. A Ground System to manage and control the satellites as well as process, distribute and provide services related to this data is being developed in concert with the satellites. The users of the data span several categories of services and data types provided by the Ground System.

This poster addresses the services and data available in several categories: real-time data products, archived data, rebroadcast data, outreach services and data, and supported data (DCS, EMWIN, LRIT, SARSAT). The poster will address types of data, services associated with the data (such as data collection over specific regions and distribution of data) and User interaction with the Ground System to obtain these services as well as information related to the status of the spacecraft and instruments.
