Robert P. Wanton, NOAA/NWS, Mt. Holly, NJ; and J. D. Moore, K. Orr, and W. Huskin
For the past decade a collaborative effort has been underway between AMS Educational Programs, The National Weather Service, and Broadcast Media in the Phildelphia viewing region. Through this collobaration, countless teachers and their students have been exposed to cutting edge Earth Systems education, and a variety of community programs that prepare the citizens of the Delaware Valley for weather and ocean events that impact our area. Through this collaboration, the AMS DataStreme courses, community-wide SkyWarn Spotter Trainnng Programs, Emergency Management Conferences, and Community Science Workshops have all reached thousands of professionals, educators and the general public. This presentation will demonstrate how through collaborative efforts we can build a more "Environmentally Literate" public. Recorded presentation
