In the middle of the night

Gene A. Norman Jr., WGCL-TV, Atlanta, GA

A very well predicted severe weather outbreak occurred early Saturday morning across North and Central Georgia on April 8, 2006. The synoptic situation that led to the development of 4 tornadoes ranging from F0 to F2 that formed in the metropolitan Atlanta area is shown. Also, on-air examples of cutting-edge radar display technology are given along with viewer photos and real-time damage reports. Finally, a discussion of pre-planning and coordination with the rest of the news department is detailed.wrf recording  Recorded presentation
