Gilbert Brunet, MSC, Dorval, PQ, Canada
INVITED PRESENTATION
This presentation will describe the international plans for joint research between the THORPEX and the WCRP for research focused on tropical convection over the western Pacific Indian Ocean regions. This work is motivated by the need for improved treatment of organized tropical convection for both climate projections and weather prediction. The presentation will also touch on experience in Canada on bringing weather and climate researchers together to work on seasonal prediction.
