Since changes in academic administration happen quite frequently and facilitate change in policy, one of the areas that has changed and become somewhat of a mystery, is the introduction of a new course at CCSN. The introduction of the AMS Online Oceans course is a new course at CCSN. The procedure and policy for instituting a new course has been expanded to include contact with Nevada's three additional community college's, and the states three universities. Additionally, the course is offered as a distance education course which now involves a distance education department.

The goal of this poster presentation is to efficiently outline and explain the procedure for implementation of a new course in the UCCSD system. It is my hope that this poster/presentation will be available for all faculty at the colleges and universities to follow when introducing a new course.
