David Sampson, Dept. of Commerce, Washington, DC
Dr. Sampson will discuss the importance of advancing atmospheric research to improve the nation's commerce and how NOAA's weather, water, and climate services can be utilized by US industries to improve competitiveness and foster innovation. Dr. Sampson will talk about the future state of atmospheric and oceanic science as it relates to developing a global interactive network and how weather, hydrologic, and climate forecasts and warnings enhance the national economy, and the global community.
