Photochemical and meteorological conditions during the 2006 TexAQS II Radical and Aerosol Measurement Project (TRAMP)

The TexAQS II Radical and Aerosol Measurement Project (TRAMP) was an atmospheric chemistry field campaign from mid-August to early October 2006 with the primary objective to better understand processes important to the photochemical cycling of atmospheric radical and aerosol species in the Houston atmospheric environment. Photochemically important trace gas and aerosol species, as well as the relevant meteorological and solar conditions were measured on the roof of an 18-story building at the University of Houston. During the TRAMP campaign, multiple 1-hr and 8-hr ozone exceedences were observed. The basic photochemical conditions (CO, NO, NOx, O3, j-values, AOD) during both clean and polluted days are compared with meteorological conditions (T, RH, P, clouds, wind direction, wind speed) to identify the factors important to ozone events at this site. In addition, chemical and meteorological conditions during the 2006 ozone season are compared to 2000 and 2005 when similar photochemical measurement campaigns were performed in Houston.wrf recording  Recorded presentation
