Satellite meteorology of tropical cyclones in the GOES-R era

The launch of GOES-R should significantly increase the capability to observe all meteorological phenomena. This talk will concentrate on the increases in capabilities dealing with tropical cyclones, as well as touching on the larger meteorological issues that overlap with observations of tropical cyclones. It will also cover some other potential observations of tropical cyclones from geostationary orbit that could compliment GOES-R data. Recorded presentation
