Valuing weather information is becoming an important topic within meteorology today. One unique and resource-rich source for training and distribution of custom weather information-derived products is the Oklahoma Climatological Survey, and valuation of the OCS Mesonet is an aim of this research. This presentation is focused around making an attempt to value a few major sectors that are likely to be significantly impacted by the influence of the OCS Mesonet network. Those sectors include agriculture, emergency management, and energy. A variety of economic methods will be utilized, harnessing both economic and meteorological data to derive a few components of the impact of the data and products generated by OCS on the Oklahoma economy.
