Charles Franklin Brooks, the founder of the American Meteorological Society, composed daily public service announcements for the Science Service beginning in May 1923. The NOAA Central Library's collection of these transcripts starts in May 1923 and continues through April 1941. This presentation will summarize and analyze the weather facts and often humorous proverbs broadcast during this era.
