Evaluation of prediction with GOES radiance data assimilation in the WRF-ARW model over East Asia

This study assimilated GOES radiance data into the WRF-ARW model through the Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA) analysis system (GSI). The 24- and 48-h (hour) forecasts over the East Asia will be discussed, the results show that the GOES radiance data assimilation has a significant impacts on the forecasts over the East Asia areas.
