The Atmospheric Dispersion Project on the Mississippi Coast
Hall 5 (Phoenix Convention Center)
The NOAA-funded Atmospheric Dispersion Project seeks to apply measurements and modeling to better understand dispersion and deposition of chemical species in the coastal region of Mississippi. Two flux measurement sites complement nearby observations from the Mississippi Mesonet and periodic field campaigns to provide ground truth of coastal circulations and processes. WRF is coupled to various chemical models and emission scenarios to evaluate the roles of transport and chemical processes.
