Weather and Radar Processor (WARP) Test and Evaluation
Room 121BC (Phoenix Convention Center)
Jeffrey A. Weinrich, A3 Technology Inc., Galloway, NJ
The Weather and Radar Processor (WARP) supports the en-route environment of Air Traffic (AT). It is currently deployed at all 21 Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs) and the Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC). WARP includes a Meteorologist Workstation which is used for analysis and forecasts by the Center Weather Service Units (CWSUs). Briefing Terminals (BTs) display Radar and other weather information throughout the ARTCC and ATCSCC. WARP processes NEXRAD data and disseminates to external National Airspace System (NAS) Interfaces such as Display System Replacement (DSR) and En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM).

WARP Test and Evaluation discusses the issues and progress of the latest software and radar products. Daily monitoring and testing of WARP uncovered trends that were used in improving software efficiency and reliability. Results and analysis of findings will be available.
