Improvements to global and regional forecast systems continue at the National Centers for Environmental Prediction, Environmental Modeling Center. The Gridpoint Statistical Interpolation (GSI) code became operational in May 2007 and is being upgraded to use IASI, ASCAT, SSM/IS and advanced ozone data. Results will be shown for recent improvements.
