WindNinja is a simple diagnostic model designed for simulating fine scale, terrain-influenced winds. A recent addition to WindNinja is an empirical slope flow model. The presentation will discuss the basis of this model, it's implementation in WindNinja, and it's influence on simulated fire behavior.
