Weather & Climate—Weatherwise Magazine's Newest Series

H. Michael Mogil, How the Weatherworks, Naples, FL; and M. Benner

In 2008, Weatherwise Magazine committed to address the “Weather & Climate of the United States” in a series of state-by-state (or groups of states) articles. Florida kicked off the series in late 2008; Alaska and Maryland-Delaware-DC followed. Other articles are slated for upcoming issues. Feedback from readers has been uniformly positive.

This presentation will showcase the series, who is writing the articles (hopefully some additional weathercasters will contribute), what we hope to accomplish by running the series, and ways that teachers and students can use the series in your classroom.

Weatherwise will be providing sample copies of the magazine to attendees and highlighting web access to past issues of the magazine. We will also discuss ways that you can provide subscriptions to science fair winners, family and friends and others.
