This research is especially aimed at the analysis of the satellite data FORMOSAT-3, especially the temperature atmosphere and it's comparison towards the data radiosonde on several Indonesian regions. The area of the study was selected in 90o-140o E and 12o U-12o S with observation time period of December 2006, January 2007, and February 2007, respectively. Results of the data of being the data that was processed took the form of the vertical plot of the atmosphere of the appearance graph. Based on results of the comparison of the satellite data FORMOSAT-3 with the data radiosonde was obtained that almost most appearances of the atmosphere were based on the satellite FORMOSAT-3 was the same as the appearance of the atmosphere based on radiosonde data. The difference that happened in the appearance of the temperature based on the satellite FORMOSAT-3 and radiosonde could be caused by the appearance of the temperature from the data FORMOSAT-3 was the appearance of the temperature of dry air that did not enclose the content of steam to air. This difference happened in and around the surface that is in the height below 8 kilometer. The appearance inaccuracy of the vertical temperature in the area close to the surface was based on the satellite data FORMOSAT-3 could be overcome by carrying out the conversion was based on the certain correction factor, so as the data was produced. The advantage pf this satellite could provide the vertical atmosphere data, especially the temperature of air for all the Indonesian region when the data radiosonde was difficult to be gotten. Where, the lack is FORMOSAT-3 carried out observation not in the same location point each day.
