The 2011 Severe Weather Symposium: A National Conversation for Saving Lives Through Better Science and Services
Room 243 (New Orleans Convention Center )
In December 2011, national leaders in the integrated warning team and key partners came together in Norman, Oklahoma for the first of a series of meetings on severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. As part of the national dialogue to build a Weather Ready Nation, this symposium initiated a vital cross-cutting conversation to develop initial short and long term community priorities to improve national severe weather resiliency. The key findings and results of the symposium will be discussed with a focus on the question "How do we save more lives?"
