The Tibetan plateau is very important for severe weather events in China and weather and climate in the eastern Asia. China has started the third Tibetan plateau atmospheric science experiments. The observation is the most important part of these experiments. And the radiosonde stations are one of the observation networks on the Plateau. But the impact of radiosonde data remains unknown. How to deploy an efficient radiosonde observational network is one of the key issues in these experiments In this study, we will use NOAA's Joint OSSE (Observation Simulation System Experiment) system to design and evaluate Tibetan plateau's radiosonde data influence on the numerical weather prediction. We also try to evaluate a better assimilation scheme for these data via the result of OSSE. Numerical results will be presented.
