Hemispheric Map Creation of Medium Energy Electrons Using POES

There has been recent work on creating hemispheric maps of Medium Energy Electrons (MEE) using the Polar Operational Environmental Satellites (POES). The goal of this work is to create a near real time data product of MEE. This product will be distributed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC). The hemispheric maps are also planned to be input into the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model (WACCM)in order to investigate the atmospheric impacts created by MEE.
