At the Howard University Beltsville Campus, a suite a instruments are positioned which allow for detailed observations of precipitable water variation. Using the Howard University Raman Lidar (HURL), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), three microwave radiometers, and radiosonde launches from summer 2011 and 2012, a greater understanding of the LIDAR's ability to capture integrated precipitable water variability becomes visible. In addition this study will highlight daytime and nighttime, as well as, near surface observation accuracy by the LIDAR.
