Suomi NPP OMPS On-orbit SDR Calibration and Validation

Launched on October 28, 2011, Suomi NPP Ozone Mapper Profiler Suite (OMPS) has been in operation for one year. It starts regular earth view science data collection in January 2012, providing NPP users with data products of ozone in the Earth's atmosphere. This presentation will update the status of the Sensor Data Records (SDRs), and provides earth view radiance and calibration results with a description of the calibration baseline established during sensor Early Orbit Checkout (EOC) and Intensive Calibration and Validation (ICV). Examples of sensor performance monitoring conducted at NOAA STAR Integrated Calibration and Validation Systems are also presented.
