Exhibit Hall 3 (Austin Convention Center)
Ashley Nechole Griffin, NOAA/NESDIS/JPSS/ASRC, Lanham, MD

The scientists and data product engineers of the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) satellite's calibration/validation program used the Discrepancy Report Action Team (DRAT) process to log and track algorithm and documentation issues to ensure the success of the Intensive Calibration and Validation (ICV) phase. This process ensures that the satellite's 30 data products are calibrated and validated to meet the program's requirements and get them ready for operational use in the shortest time possible.

This poster will show how the different teams submit discrepancies to the DRAT, the different types of discrepancies raised, and the system for tracking an issue once it has been found, mitigated and implemented into the operational system.
