A Look at Cities as Agents of Global Change: An African Review Especially Liberian Case
Moses A. Eben, Center for Environmental Education and Protection of Liberia, Monrovia, Liberia
This paper will present urban and rural cities in Liberia as agents of global change specifically and little mention of other African cities as similar agents.
Climate change as we know is induced by carbon dioxide being produced and left to flow into the atmosphere. The paper will mention the how human-induced activities and needs in cities produce this carbon dioxide, the risk and damage these human-induced activities and needs causes to global climate change and give suggestions as solutions or alternative course of actions to reduce or eradicate carbon dioxide production.
This implies that non climate-friendly activities will be expressed and climate-friendly activities will be suggested. This will then show how cities are agents of global change.
Finally, conclusions and recommendations will be given.
