Kevin Wheeler, NOAA Director of Policy, Washington, DC

Kevin Wheeler is the Director of Policy in the office of the Under Secretary, where he is responsible for developing policy positions on behalf of the NOAA Administrator. Kevin has spent more than 20 years working in environmental science and policy positions in Washington DC. Previously, Kevin served as Executive Director for the Seafood Harvesters of America, Vice President of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, and Director of Federal Relations for Brown University. Kevin also worked on the Science Committee for the U.S. House of Representatives, served as the Special Assistant to the Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, and also worked on Capitol Hill as Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant to Congressman Sherwood Boehlert. Kevin holds advanced degrees in Environmental Management and Public Administration from Duke and Binghamton Universities respectively.
