The EOS Aura Mission

Jim Holton was keenly interested in using satellite observations to understand the dynamics of the stratosphere, and he was an active participant in the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite science team. He also helped develop the requirements for the next generation stratospheric satellite observing system, EOS Aura. This talk will focus on Aura measurements of the stratosphere relative to Jim Holton's research interests such as tropical processes, long-range transport and the distribution of trace gases.
