What we've learned from storm intercepts (or, A brief history of TIME—Tornado Intercepts using Mobile Equipment)

The most significant contributions from severe storm intercept missions over the last 30 years or so will be summarized. Included will be results from severe-storm verification exercises, photogrammetry of tornado movies/videos, in situ thermodynamic and wind measurements, mobile ballooning, and portable/airborne/mobile radar observations. .
