On the air-pollution modelling and prediction in the Czech Republic
Presentation PDF (625.3 kB)
The spatial distribution of air pollution on the regional scale (Central Bohemian basin, north-east part of Czech Republic) is simulated by means of Charles University Lagrangian puff model SMOG as well nested in NWP model ETA. The results are used for the assessment of the concentration fields of ozone, nitrogen oxides and other ozone precursors. For the study being presented large database of real emission sources was incorporated with many kinds of anthropogenic sources included in case of SMOG-ETA couple whereas CAMx-MM5 is based on area sources. Whereas with the model SMOG tests of influence of biogenic emissions as well as source apportionment experiments have been completed in framework of the project the couple CAMx-MM5 is used for quasi operational air-pollution prediction with air-quality data assimilation.
