The effects of density distribution on turbulence diffusion in stratified atmosphere are investigated based on mass conservation described by continuity equation and diffusion equation. The proposed parameterization of turbulent flux for scalar property shows that the concentration distribution is dependent on not only the gradient of mean field of scalar properties as widely used now, but also the density spatial distribution. A simplified numerical simulation gives reasoning results which well agree with the laboratory experiments conducted by Stillinger et al.
