In this presentation, we will discuss the vertically resolved temperature, water vapor, and ozone measurements from AIRS and TES. The retrieved cloud fields will also be included in this analysis. TES is a nadir and limb view infrared FTS on EOS Aura which retrieves water vapor and temperature profiles as part of the ozone profile retrieval. TES has been in operation since June 2004, with limited measurements to date. AIRS is a grating spectrometer on EOS Aqua has been operational for more than 2 years. AIRS retrieves daily water vapor and temperature profiles more than 85% of the globe.

Here we will focus on water vapor, temperature, and ozone in the upper troposphere, as well as cloud fields, showing large scale phenomena as observed by AIRS and the more detailed profiles of TES. TES and AIRS comparisons as well as AIRS-sonde comparisons will be presented.
