A 12-year post-fire assessment of soil conditions of the Dudefire in central Arizona

In July of 1990 the Dude wildfire burned over 27,000 acres of riparian and upland habitats of several headwater streams on the Tonto National Forest. A post-fire evaluation of burned and unburned habitats was conducted to characterize differences in soil attributes. Results from physical and chemical analyses are presented. Discussion focuses on factors that might have contributed to observed differences.
