Should be Air Quality Forecasting: Research to Operations

The science of air quality forecasting is relatively new compared to that of more traditional weather forecasting. However, the benefits that air quality forecasting provide are significant and immediate. The movement of air quality forecasting from its recent research oriented phase to a more operational phase will provide a greater opportunity for public health protection through more accurate and timely forecasts. Being at the beginning stages of this new and exciting air quality program is an opportunity for all members of the air quality forecast community to have a pronounced impact on the health and well being of millions of individuals.
