An updated report on the decadal variability of Earth Radiation Budget using the latest ERBE/ERBS WFOV Nonscanner data record

Understanding the exchanges of radiative energy at the top of atmosphere (TOA) is essential for unlocking the secert of the Earth's climate and for improving our knowledge of the global climate change. The recent discovery of the decadal variability of the observed Earth Radiation Budget (ERB) has given climate scientists new insight into the complex issues that are affecting the Earth's climate system. We will give an updated report on the observed decadal variability of TOA ERB using the latest ERBE/ERBS WFOV nonscanner time record. Comparisons will be make with various TOA ERB datasets, as well as recently released ocean heat storage dataset, to get a consistent view of the changes in the TOA ERB since the mid 1980's.
