Spectral versus Broadband Radiance relationships observed between MISR and CERES on the Terra Satellite
Wedad A. Abdou, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA; and R. Davies and N. G. Loeb
The large number of simultaneous measurements of well-calibrated radiances made by CERES and MISR on the Terra Satellite permits the construction of detailed regression relationships between the broadband and narrowband measurements. These are presented as a function of viewing angle, solar zenith angle, and a variety of scene properties. Residual rms differences for homogeneous scenes are shown to be less than 3 W/m2, and randomly distributed, permitting direct comparison of MISR and CERES albedo products for such scenes.
