Decadal spatial structure and evolution of extreme temperature in winter and summer over China during the recent 50 years
Zhihong Jiang, Nanjing Institute of Meteorology, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China
In terms of mean minimum(Tm) and maximum (TM) temperature in winter and summer during the recent more 40 years over China, spatial structure and temporal evolution are investigated on decadal scales. Results show that an obvious change of spatial structure of these temperature fields occurred during the end 1970°¯s and the early 1980°¯s, but significant structure differences are found between summer and winter. Besides, on decadal scale spatial mode changes of winter Tm and summer TM are dominant in the counterpart variation.
